Where do I start?

Please feel free to inquire about your booking anytime even if you only have questions or concerns. I typically recommend booking trips two to eight months in advance - and longer depending on the complexity of your arrangements.

Can I contact you and are there any consultation fees?

bigbitetravel at this time has no consultation fee for booking cruises, hotels, rental cars, or standalone packages. An additional fee will apply to select services and will be transparently presented.

How does the booking process & payment work?

Once you have finalized a part of your itinerary like booking a hotel or rental car, you will receive a secure link to pay by credit or debit card. You may use the same card for multiple bookings or request to remove this information. It is essential to note that some itineraries come with a package that requires full payment upfront or multiple bookings over time - depending on the complexity of your arrangements.

bigbitetravel's partnership with Fora allows indirect bookings with the potential for better deals and to include VIP perks & benefits during your stay, but your preferred methods can be facilitated upon request.

What is the catch? Are there any additional costs?

Most hotels, cruises, or rental cars can be booked with no extra cost – plus your booking may qualify for VIP perks & benefits. If you notice any difference in rates, please inform me as I may be able to negotiate with the supplier. Travel advisors receive a much smaller commission than an online travel agency - however, suppliers prefer working with advisors to create a personalized experience for you to want to return. It’s a win-win-win situation for all of us. Suppliers pay a commission no matter how the booking is arranged. Many do not know instead your booking could have contributed to a more personalized experience.

What are the fees?

bigbitetravel offers optional services with additional fees, however you are under no obligation to opt for these services. The non-refundable fee will be paid upfront. Our additional fees begin at $40 per destination for two nights and will depend on the length and complexity of your travel plans. The additional fee supports the time and enterprise for in-depth research to arrange your travels.

What type of travel can bigbitetravel book?

Whether you're looking for a relaxing staycation in your hometown, an adventurous safari in the wild, a destination wedding, or a business trip, I can plan it all for you. I can book cruises, multi-city trips, hotels, or even plan a road trip based on your preferences. No matter where you're headed, I'll be sure your trip is unforgettable and hassle-free.

Can you book budget travel?

Currently, there is no set price range for booking with me. While it may be the case that perks and benefits are frequently associated with higher-scale stays, I remain able to arrange your travel across a range of price points. Do inquire with me as I may come up with a recommendation you may find to be of a better value!

Can you book flights?

Suppose you decide to make your flight arrangements through bigbitetravel. I'm happy to offer a complimentary recommendation for a round-trip flight from your starting point upon request which you can book directly yourself. However, if you need me to conduct comprehensive research for your flight arrangements and book your tickets directly with the airline on your behalf, we can provide this service for an additional fee. Please note that after the initial flight booking, most airlines require the primary passenger to communicate directly with the supplier who issued the ticket for any issues or requests that arise. While we can offer discounted packages that include flights without an additional fee, we still suggest that you book directly with the airline for quicker resolutions in case of any incidents such as delays or cancellations. If you have any queries or concerns regarding flight bookings, please do not hesitate to ask.

Can you book villas or vacation homes?

Yes - vacation homes and villas may be booked with us with some exceptions. Some listings including Airbnb will be ineligible. However, I can book many VRBO properties or privately managed homes.

Can you take over an existing booking?

Yes - your existing booking may be eligible for take over by bigbitetravel. If you proceed with this option, you may be able to unlock VIP perks & benefits for your travels, subject to availability. Contact me to learn more.

What if I actually enjoy planning travel?

Planning a trip can be a fun activity, especially if you have ample time to do so. However, even if you enjoy the process, you can still benefit from using an advisor. Just let me know which hotels, cruises, etc. you’re interested in and I’ll take care of the booking for you. Send me your whole itinerary and we can work together! The best part is that you may get VIP perks & benefits at no additional cost to you... and you'd support a small business!

Can I gain loyalty points or redeem points and credit when I book with you?

Yes - you may accrue loyalty points on most bookings with us. Please provide your loyalty information upon booking. The ability to redeem vouchers, loyalty points, or gift cards will depend on the supplier.

Do you offer travel insurance?

You will be offered travel insurance with every inquiry. It is recommended to purchase to protect you and your fellow travelers against incidents not limited to lost luggage, canceled or delayed transportation, medical emergencies, and evacuations. A bigbitetravel booking is not required to purchase insurance. I also recommend double-checking your credit card's travel insurance coverage to ensure it meets your needs as they often have restrictions. If you're interested in purchasing insurance for your travel dates or a longer period such as six months or a year, contact me!

Can I request a refund or cancel my booking?

This is another reason travel insurance is recommended as you would be protected in many situations regardless of the supplier’s rules. Purchases, refunds, changes, and allowances from each supplier will be governed by the respective supplier's terms and conditions. The supplier's cancellation policy will be presented and confirmed before booking. If you have obtained travel insurance, review your policy and contact the agency to determine coverage eligibility.
Some insurance providers will allow me to do this on your behalf. Additional fees already paid to bigbitetravel are non-refundable and we will complete qualified cancellations or changes upon request.

You are being offered personalized travel planning and services, along with an addition of VIP perks & benefits based on availability. I act exclusively as a travel booking agent, connecting you with reputable suppliers. Once you book with a supplier, you have agreed to their terms and conditions including the refund and cancellation policy which will be presented before booking. You will be provided with a Form before booking your trip to confirm your details. Once it is accepted and submitted to us - bigbitetravel will use the authorized payment method to book your trip.
